# Campaigns & Tracking

> Sending, opens, clicks, and bounce handling

## Creating a campaign

**Campaigns → Create.** Pick a list, design or reuse a [template](/mailer/email-builder-and-templates), choose a [sending server](/mailer/sending-servers), and either send immediately or schedule it — scheduled sends are dispatched by the background queue at their scheduled time, so the [queue worker and cron entry](/mailer/installation#background-processes) both need to actually be running.

## Tracking

Every sent campaign automatically tracks:

* **Opens** — via a tracking pixel
* **Clicks** — every link in the email is rewritten to route through a tracked redirect first

## Reports

**Campaigns → \[campaign] → Report.** Per-campaign send/open/click stats.

## Bounce & complaint handling

If you've configured a verified sending domain on your [Amazon SES sending server](/mailer/sending-servers), bounces and spam complaints are handled automatically and feed back into subscriber status — a hard-bounced or complained address won't keep getting sent to.
