# Lists & Subscribers

> Building and managing your subscriber lists

## Lists

**Lists → Create.** A list is the container your subscribers and campaigns are organized around — most accounts will have more than one, split by audience or signup source.

## Adding subscribers

* **Manually** — Lists → \[list] → Subscribers → Create
* **CSV import** — Lists → \[list] → Import

## Opt-in

Each list can require **single opt-in** (subscriber is active immediately) or **double opt-in** (subscriber must click a confirmation link sent to their inbox before they're active and eligible to receive campaigns).

## Public subscribe/unsubscribe links

Every list gets its own public, no-login-required links:

* **Subscribe** — for embedding a signup form on your own site
* **Unsubscribe** — included automatically in every campaign send, per subscriber
* **Confirm** — the double opt-in confirmation link, if enabled

These are real, tokenized links (not just "email us to unsubscribe") — required for any legitimate email sending, and what keeps a list's actual send-eligible subscriber count accurate.
